Will this car pass emissions in CA?
passing smog in california ??? with the changes made to it -
-not a chance ! i have a smog shop i deal with everyday and there is no way it will pass like that. now you could do some creative bribery to get it done but, its hard to find people to "play ball" if you know what i mean . sounds like a nice car but the 76 's were not the cool novas of the past. still a nova yes but, a 76 and a SMOGABLE ONE AT THAT. think about it before you get stuck with it and cant drive it . do some checking in the smog thing before you buy it.
the 305 is no hot rod. and all the bolt on goodies may sound good but, i doubt that will do what you think it will . lots of cool stuff --sure but its 305 cubic inches and did the guy up the comppression for all this stuff ? cause if he didn't, the 650 carb alone will kill the chances of you getting it smogged right off the bat. then you have the cam to worry about too. non of this stuff is able to pass. do some long hard thinking before you spend your money.
